The old Woodmen of the World building on Church Street in Youngsville is now the home of FireWire Audio and Video. They provide custom design and installation services for:
- audio
- video
- security and fire
- smart home automation
- WiFi and network
- video surveillance
They work directly with homeowners, commercial businesses, and residential and commercial contractors. An existing home can be retrofitted to accommodate the desired systems.
FireWire was started in 2015 by Lance Morgan. Before starting his company, Morgan was a supervisor for LUS Fiber for nine years.
Morgan said he values people and relationships over profit and believes in simplicity. He installs reliable products, wants to provide excellent service, and works to get everything right the first time.
Morgan’s mission is to “Positively impact people’s lives by enriching their sight, sound, security, and touch experience.”
FireWire moved to the old Woodman of the World building this year. Morgan said the building is over one hundred years old. The building has gone through various transitions since Morgan purchased the building. Air conditioning has been installed, most of the ceiling is open to expose the wood beams, larger windows have been installed along with glass double doors for the front entrance. The open area has been petitioned off in some areas with brick walls. Two offices will have glass walls.
