Kayla Gaudet named her clothing store after her daughter Grace Katherine, but flipped the names. The Katherine Grace Clothing Co is located at 417 West Main Street in Broussard.
Gaudet said she was headed to go to nursing school in 2020, but had two strokes from which she had to recover. Once recovered she started the clothing business online only in August 2021 and in August 2021, she opened the brick and mortar store.
The store has women’s clothing with sizing from extra small to three extra large plus fifteen venders which provide coffee, gifts, candles, accessories and more.
Today (November 18, 2022) Gaudet is having Pink Friday with specials. She will also have specials for Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday.
On an interesting note in a previous resident of the home, now 94 years old, stopped by the boutique and visited with Gaudet and she gave Gaudet a tour of the home from her memories. Prior to the elder woman’s visit, one of her brother’s friends also went by with someone to shop. He told Gaudet he had spent a lot of time at the house while visiting with his friend.
