Wet Tech Energy, Inc., a manufacturing company based in Maurice, Louisiana, produces buoy systems for multiple industries.
Don and Jayne Carl started the company in 1999. The Carls are the primary owners of Wet Tech, with their son Todd Carl as Operations Manager and their son-in-law Paul Anderson as Vice President of Operations.
Initially focused on an aides-to-navigation company, Wet Tech realized in 2000 the need to diversify and not depend solely on oil and gas. The company grew by manufacturing buoy systems for various industries. Along with buoy systems, Wet Tech provides offshore mooring systems and rents out spooling machines, which are used to rewire wenches and cranes and to navigate and detect fire/gas while delivering safety and experience to its products and services.
Wet Tech overhauls buoy systems for the entire United States Coast Guard fleet. They also provide buoy systems for fish farms, aquaculture, marine construction, and the military, such as the Coast Guard, Navy, and Air Force. Every six years, Wet Tech refurbishes all buoys for the Coast Guard.
