No headphones and no motivational videos this morning. It was just me, my thoughts, and the pavement.
I usually listen to something motivational during my run with the intention of controlling my thoughts and emotions. This morning I chose to wage war against my thoughts and motivate myself with my own voice. I needed to do business with myself this morning.
I think it’s something we all should do every once in a while. Turning off the noise around us in order to hear our own voices, thoughts, and ideas. Knowing where we stand is powerful and something unique to each one of us. Our voice can and is our biggest confidence booster to ourselves. Our voice is our unique gift.
