UPDATE: Lafayette Household Hazardous Waste & Electronics Collection Day

LAFAYETTE, LA (May 31, 2024) – Lafayette Consolidated Government’s Household Hazardous Waste Day scheduled for June 1, 2024, will not accept electronics due to expected rain. Residents are urged to dispose of electronics through BestBuy.  

RESCHEDULED

LAFAYETTE, LA (May 20, 2024) – Lafayette Consolidated Government’s Household Hazardous Waste Day has been rescheduled and will take place on June 1, 2024, at the Northgate Mall.

This is an opportunity for residents to dispose of household chemicals and electronics that are not accepted in the curbside trash or recycling carts. Visit https://lafayettela.gov/hhwd for a list of accepted and unaccepted items as well as locations to safely dispose of unaccepted items.

Household Hazardous Waste Day:

When: June 1, 2024 | 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Where: Northgate Mall (Enter from Castille Avenue), 1800 North East Evangeline Thruway, Lafayette, Louisiana.

HHWD is free of charge but only open to residents living in Lafayette and unincorporated areas of Lafayette Parish. Proof of residency will be required.

LAFAYETTE, LA (May 17, 2024) – Due to the recent severe storms, Lafayette Consolidated Government’s Household Hazardous Waste Day, scheduled for May 18, 2024, has been canceled.

The event will be rescheduled at a later date.

LAFAYETTE, LA (May 13, 2024) – Lafayette Consolidated Government’s Household Hazardous Waste Day (HHWD) will occur on May 18, 2024, at the Northgate Mall.

This is an opportunity for residents to dispose of household chemicals and electronics not accepted in the curbside trash or recycling carts. Visit https://lafayettela.gov/hhwd for a list of accepted and unaccepted items and locations to dispose of unaccepted items safely.

When: May 18, 2024 | 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Where: Northgate Mall (Enter from Castille Avenue), 1800 North East Evangeline Thruway, Lafayette, Louisiana.

HHWD is free of charge but only open to residents who live in the city of Lafayette and unincorporated areas of Lafayette Parish. Proof of residency will be required.
