The Martin Luther King, Jr Holiday Committee of Lafayette is hosting the Annual MLK Celebration. This year’s theme is – Living The Dream – “Our Actions, Together, Impact Change Within Our Community.”
This year’s schedule is as follows:
𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟏𝟒 – 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞
- Neighborhood Revitalization Project – In conjunction with Lafayette Habitat for Humanity
- Staging area: 803 N. Pierce Street, Lafayette, (Alpha Phi Alpha House)
𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟏𝟔 – 𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐌𝐋𝐊 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐭 𝟑𝟎𝟗 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐚 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐭
- 8:30 a.m. – Prayer Breakfast
- 9:45 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. – Community Exhibits/Booths
- 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. – BBQ Plate Lunches Provided by Laura’s II
- 6:00 p.m. – Evening Commemorative Program
