Cassidy Announces $6.1 Million for Cameron Parish in Hurricane Laura Relief

WASHINGTON – United States Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced Cameron Parish will receive $6,078,485.00 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in Hurricane Laura relief. Cameron Parish will receive $5,759,235.00 to fund the mitigation of 25 flood-prone residential structures and $319,250.00 to elevate 25 residential structures located within the Special Flood Hazard Area.

“Since Hurricane Laura hit over three years ago, Louisiana has shown its resiliency,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding will ensure our state is prepared for the next storm.”
