Ina Roberts Cohn was the in United States Army Cade Nurse Corps.

Cohn graduated in nursing from Charity Hospital in New Orleans in 1945. Afterwards Cohn ran the operating room at the Huey P. Long Charity Hospital in Pineville for over 30 years.

Cohn is now a resident of Youngsville.

The Cadet Nurse Corps was authorized on June 15, 1943 by the United States Congress and authorized from President Franklin D. Roosevelt on July 1, 1943. This was done to address the shortage of nurses before and during World War II. From the uscadetnurse.org website, it has “They saved lives at home, so others could save lives abroad.”
