Bayou Vermilion District Board President Launches Bid for State House

Youngsville, LA – Bayou Vermilion District Board of Commissioner’s President David Eaton has announced his candidacy for State House District 49, currently held by Representative Blake Miguez, who is seeking a higher position.

Eaton says Louisiana will face very serious and challenging questions after the current gubernatorial administration departs. Over the last three years, Eaton has assisted in leading the Bayou Vermilion District Board to a fiscally responsible position, now having over a $200,000 surplus.

Eaton says he will focus on education, fiscal responsibility, oil & gas, jobs, and restoring public trust in Baton Rouge.

“We need to get to work to make Louisiana the best place to live, work, and raise a family. She has some of the best natural resources in the world, and the most resilient people in the country. It’s beyond time to get to work”.., Eaton says.

Eaton said that he and his family are ready to put Louisiana first and shake things up in Baton Rouge. Eaton, a lifelong Republican, will be on the October 14th Louisiana Gubernatorial Ballot.
