Broussard is facing many challenges in terms of growth and infrastructure. One of the biggest challenges is keeping up with the need for new schools as the population grows.
“The city also needs to be conscious of the impact of new subdivisions on infrastructure and make sure that there is enough capacity to handle the influx of new residents. In addition, the city needs to establish strong relationships with state and school officials to ensure that all entities work together towards a common goal,” Regan said. “The city also needs to be responsible regarding its finances and make sure that it is spending money wisely to get the most return on investment. The city also needs to focus on retaining existing businesses and attracting new ones.”
