Regan is committed to working with the community to make Broussard a better place for everyone. “I’m excited about the opportunity to effect change in my hometown,” he said. “I look forward to meeting with residents and hearing their ideas.”

Regan is a born leader with an entrepreneurial and generous spirit. At just 17, he began traveling for his father’s business and hasn’t stopped working since. In 2004, he bought his first house and decided to try his hand at the lending business. Since then, he has been a successful mortgage lender. In addition to his work in the business world, Jesse is also an active philanthropist. He supports various causes both locally and internationally. A truly driven individual, Jesse Regan is always looking for new opportunities to make a difference.

Regan has served on the City of Broussard City Council for the past three years. He also has experience serving on various boards, including the Lafayette Industrial Development Board, where he is currently the Board Secretary, and the Chamber of Commerce, where he previously served as Board Chairman. In addition, Regan has served as Board Chairman for both the Broussard Economic Development Corporation and founded the Broussard Civil Service Board. He is also a graduate of Leadership Iberia 2018 and a member of Krewe of Andalusia. In 2017-2018, Regan co-chaired the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Man & Woman of the Year campaign. Regan’s experience in various industries will bring a valuable perspective to the council.

Broussard is facing many challenges in terms of growth and infrastructure. One of the biggest challenges is keeping up with the need for new schools as the population grows.

“The city also needs to be conscious of the impact of new subdivisions on infrastructure and make sure that there is enough capacity to handle the influx of new residents. In addition, the city needs to establish strong relationships with state and school officials to ensure that all entities work together towards a common goal,” Regan said. “The city also needs to be responsible regarding its finances and make sure that it is spending money wisely to get the most return on investment. The city also needs to focus on retaining existing businesses and attracting new ones.”
