Lafayette, LA – Jacob Landry, candidate for House District 49, attended The Main Event – a night to meet state and local candidates event at Le Pavillion, in Lafayette, Louisiana, last Saturday night. The event was sponsored by the Louisiana Federation of Republican Women.
Landry met the proud Republican women of the state who gathered to hear from candidates. Those present included Billy Nungesser, running for re-election for Lt. Governor, Blake Miguez, candidate for State Senate District 22, and Troy Herbet, candidate for House District 31.
Landry delivered heartfelt remarks about the important women in his life; his mother, Billie Landry, wife, Hannah Landry, and daughter, Jules Landry.
He shared personal memories and closed his remarks saying, “I am running to represent all the strong women of District 49 and Louisiana. I want our children to have the same opportunities I did growing up, and create careers, not jobs for them, right here in this state.”
