OFFICE OF FINANCE AND MANAGEMENT RECEIVES HIGHEST ACCOLADE FOR BUDGET PRESENTATION 10 CONSECUTIVE YEARS
Lafayette, LA –Lafayette Consolidated Government’s (LCG) Office of Finance and Management is celebrating 10 straight years of receiving the highest form of recognition in governmental budgeting. The Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) awarded the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for preparing high-quality, transparent budget documents for the fiscal year 2022-2023.
“We are so proud to receive the GFOA Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for the 10th year in a row. This award is the result of many hours of hard work by our staff, and it shows our commitment to excellence in financial reporting and our use of best practices in budgeting,” said Office of Finance and Management Controller Spencer Lormand.
The Office of Finance and Management satisfied nationally recognized guidelines to receive a “proficient” rating in the four required categories: policy document, financial plan, operations guide, and communications device. In addition, the office was proficient in the 14 mandatory criteria within those categories.
