McBade designed and engineered the recently built Youngsville retention and detention flood mitigation ponds. Aside from the Bailey Grove project, McBade also designed and engineered the LaSalle Coulee Regional Retention Pond Project. The ponds were built to prevent flooding in the city.

The McBade team celebrated the substantial completion of ponds with a ribbon cutting held by the city on August 10, 2023, which coincided with the seventh anniversary of the 2016 Youngsville flood.

Among the officials attending the ceremony were Youngsville Mayor Ken Ritter, city council members, city staff, United States Representative Clay Higgins and staff, representatives from US Senators John Kennedy and Bill Cassidy, Toye Taylor from Governor John-Bel Edwards’ office, Lafayette Mayor-President Josh Guillory, Duson Mayor Johnny Thibodeaux, and Carencro Mayor Charlotte Clavier.
