Meet Kody Allen

Kody Allen has been told he has made history in that he is the youngest person to be elected as a council member of the City of Broussard City Council. He won the council seat for District 6 in the November 8th election and will be taking office in January 2023.

Allen advised he is excited and looking forward to working together with everyone on the city council. He said he is an independent thinker who will address items with both a positive view and with an open mind.

When asked what he would like to focus on as a council member he replied he wants to listen to what his constituents want. Allen said he has heard from not only his future constituents, but also from co-workers who live in Broussard about the desire for water quality. His number one priority is to work together with others to ensure Broussard residents have quality water available to them.

Having lived in Youngsville and Lafayette, Allen and his wife Sarah are newlyweds and live in Broussard. Allen wants to see Broussard be a positive place for he and Sarah to raise their future family.

Allen works at an oil and gas company since 2017. He enjoys offshore fishing for red snapper in the summer. He also enjoys deer hunting.

While growing up Allen said his father instilled in him to “work hard, follow your dreams and to never give up”.
