Montgomery Returns for a Visit

by KAREN LAGRANGE COX

This weekend, The Reverend Doctor Brandt Montgomery returned to Lafayette for a visit.

Montgomery, originally from Talladega, Alabama, served as Chaplain for all Ascension Episcopal School campuses, including the high school in Youngsville, from 2014 to 2017. He also was an associate rector at The Episcopal Church of the Ascension in Lafayette from 2017 to 2019.

He recently obtained his Doctorate of Ministry from The University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee, which brings his title from Reverend to Reverend Doctor as of September 2021.

After departing from Lafayette in 2019, Montgomery relocated to Hagerstown, Maryland. He serves as the Chaplain for Saint James School in Hagerstown and is still actively engaged as Chaplain.
