Corey Morgan Announces Candidacy for Mayor of Broussard
Morgan plans to Focus on the Future to improve the quality of life for Broussard residents
BROUSSARD, LA – August 19, 2022 – Corey Morgan is running for mayor of Broussard, Louisiana. Morgan has lived in Broussard his entire life and is passionate about making his hometown a better place for everyone.
Morgan, father of two and a 4th generation citizen of Broussard, believes that the city should work for its residents and not the other way around. The towns surrounding Broussard are growing by leaps and bounds, but Broussard needs some upkeep and improvements, according to Morgan. He plans to improve the city’s infrastructure while also attracting businesses to town. He also wants to ensure that young people don’t leave Broussard for a better quality of life.
If elected, Morgan has a clear vision for the town. He wants to improve the infrastructure and make it more pedestrian-friendly, as well as improve the look of the town. He also wants to address the issue of traffic and flooding and ensure that residents have the resources they need to take care of their homes.
Morgan is a fresh voice in politics and has the passion and drive to make Broussard a thriving community. He is a strong believer in community-driven change, and he wants to make sure that everyone has a chance to participate in making Broussard a better place to live. If elected, he plans to serve only one term so that he can focus on getting things done instead of worrying about re-election.
Morgan has significant experience in both the public and private sectors. He has served in various leadership capacities on the Zoning and Planning Board, including vice president and President. In addition, he has also served on the Lafayette Parish Consolidate TCC board. In his professional life, Corey has worked as a QA inspector for Mortech Limited. In this role, he was contracted to the department of defense for military builds. As a result, Corey has first-hand experience with the inner workings of government and the private sector. He is also an honorary member of the Louisiana Sheriff’s Association and a member of the Louisiana State Troopers Association.
“I love this town, and I want to see it succeed,” Morgan said. “I have the experience and the passion to make a difference, and I’m committed to serving the residents of Broussard. If we focus on the future, I believe we can make Broussard a better place for everyone, and I’m excited to get started.”
