Last week, the St. Landry Parish Fire District 3 lost District Chief Kenny Frazier Sr. In order to enable his firefighters to attend his funeral, Chief Blair Rivette, Captain Roberts, and Firefighter/Engineer Guillot of the Youngsville Fire Department graciously stepped in to man the station, allowing Frazier’s firefighters to pay their respects at his funeral service.

Rivette said, “We will never know every fellow firefighter personally, but we will always be there to support them any way we can.”

Chief Frazier, fifty-seven years old, served his community for over twenty years. He passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023, at his residence in Opelousas, Louisiana.
