The children excitedly exclaimed “Open the gates!” as they eagerly waited for the Pixus Splash Park to open at the Youngsville Sports Complex (YSC).
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held earlier today to mark the grand opening of the new three-thousand-square-foot splash park. YSC Director Tim Robicheaux, YSC staff, Youngsville Mayor Ken Ritter, City Council Members, Police Chief Rick Boudreaux, emergency responders, and city staff were among those present for the ribbon cutting.
ARAL, the contractor for the splash park project, and Water Odyssey and Aquatic Interactive, the park designers, were also present at the ribbon cutting ceremony.
The splash park is located within the YSC by the baseball fields. There are restrooms and a pavilion conveniently located near the park.
The splash park’s hours of operation are daily from 10 a.m. to sunset.
