Arson Suspected in Monday Morning House Fire

Lafayette, LA – Lafayette firefighters responded to a house fire in the 100 block of N. Pine Street at 8:50 a.m. Monday morning. When firefighters arrived on scene, smoke surrounded the single-family dwelling with flames coming from several windows. Emergency crews entered the dwelling to extinguish the fire and conduct search operations. The dwelling was not occupied. There were no utilities supplied to the home. The fire caused substantial damage to the dwelling.

Fire officials suspects the home was intentionally set on fire. If anyone have information on the fire, please contact Lafayette Fire Department at 337.291.8716 or Crime Stoppers at 232.TIPS.
