LAFAYETTE, LA (Jun. 4, 2024) – The outside lane of US 167 (Johnston Street) at its intersection with US 90 Southbound (Evangeline Thruway) will be closed beginning Friday, June 7, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. until Sunday, June 9 at 8:00 p.m., weather permitting.
Motorists will be able to utilize the inside lane to turn left onto US 90 Northbound or right onto US 90 Southbound but will not be able to go straight to Louisiana Avenue.
This closure is necessary to allow crews to perform concrete pavement patching operations in the intersection of US 90 Northbound and Louisiana Avenue.
There will be a portion of the roadway closed to thru traffic and emergency vehicles will not have access to the area.
A detour route will NOT be posted; however, traffic may utilize US 90 Southbound, East Pinhook Road and Surrey Street to access Louisiana Avenue.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
