Youngsville Mayor Ken Ritter made the following announcement today regarding the Youngsville Highway widening project.

Phase 1 of the project is from Fortune Road to Ambassador Caffrey. The project will replace the two existing lanes with upgraded four to five lanes.

Dirt is being transported and stored on-site near Fortune Road, which will be used to close the roadside ditches and add additional lanes.

Roadside drainage work and clearing of trees along the Le J’Ardin D’Abel neighborhood at Heart D Farm Road are to commence in the next six weeks.

Phase 2 will be Fortune Road at Sabal Palms to Iberia Street / Highway 92.
