YOUNGSVILLE, LA (December 26, 2024) – In an announcement by Youngsville Mayor Ken Ritter, Dumpling Hour will be joining the Mill Commons strip center (near Jersey Mike’s and Baskin Robbins) at 1911 Chemin Metairie. This will be their second location after opening in Lafayette earlier this year.

Dumpling Hour was founded by Michelle Chou, former owner of Lafayette’s Lotus Garden. Dumpling Hour is all about fresh, made-to-order dishes inspired by the owners’ hometown recipes from China — from authentic, handmade dumplings like Xiao Long Bao Soup Dumplings and Pan Fried Pork Buns to Cajun-inspired fusion dishes that reflect the unique flavors of our region.

Their menu also features fan favorites and traditional dishes like Kung Pao Chicken, Pepper Steak, Bang Bang Shrimp, Asian Cracklin’ Chicken, boba teas, and vegetarian options—all crafted with top-notch quality at affordable prices.

Ritter advises the owner, saying patrons can expect a charming and cozy restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere that boasts traditional Chinese décor. What sets the restaurant apart is that it is the only restaurant in the area with traditional Chinese dumplings as the menu’s main feature. Also making it unique is that you can watch expert chefs handcraft dumplings behind a glass partition while eating.
