Southside Senior Named 74th Annual Lafayette Kiwanis Club Jamboree Queen

Southside High School senior Nevaeh Naqui Ire’ Williams has been named the 74th Annual Lafayette Kiwanis Club Jamboree Queen, an honor that celebrates a Lafayette Parish student and gives her the opportunity to represent her school during one of the community’s longest-running high school football traditions.

Celebrating Growth: LPSS Students Outpace State on LEAP

Following the state release of student results, Lafayette Parish School System is celebrating continued academic achievement as 43% of students scored Mastery or above on 2025-26 LEAP Assessment with growth in Science, Social Studies and Math across all grade levels.
