Youngsville, LA (February 12, 2026) – Youngsville will mark a major milestone this year as the city celebrates its 40th annual Mardi Gras Parade on Saturday, February 14, at 11:00 a.m., according to Mayor Ken Ritter.

The parade route will remain the same as last year, allowing residents and visitors to plan accordingly. City officials will continue monitoring weather conditions, with updates shared as needed to ensure a safe and enjoyable event.

Serving as Grand Marshal for this year’s parade is Krewe des Amis, Youngsville’s original Mardi Gras krewe, which is celebrating its 45th anniversary. The recognition honors the krewe’s longstanding contribution to Mardi Gras traditions and community spirit in Youngsville.

Safety and Road Closures

The Youngsville Police Department is reminding attendees that safety remains a top priority. Roads along the parade route are scheduled to close at 9:00 a.m., though closures may occur earlier depending on traffic conditions.

Officials are asking parade-goers to follow these safety guidelines:

  • Stay behind barricades at all times
  • Catch beads and throws, do not throw anything back
  • No glass containers
  • No pets, drones, or fireworks
  • No parking along the parade route (vehicles will be towed)
  • No setting up the night before; setup may begin the morning of the parade only

Parents are encouraged to place a note in their child’s pocket with the child’s name and contact information. Lost children may be brought to the Youngsville Sports Complex or the Fire Station on Fountain View, and any officer along the route can assist.

Attendees are also reminded to designate a sober driver. In case of emergency, call 911 or locate the nearest officer.
