We are thrilled to share the resounding success of the 2025 BYOB Hamburger and Hotdog Festival, held on Sunday, April 13th, 2025, at the Youngsville Sports Complex – Slemco Amphitheatre. The event drew an impressive crowd of over 2,300 attendees, demonstrating the strong community spirit in Broussard and Youngsville.
This year, our primary goal was to raise $5,000 to support our dedicated local law enforcement. We are incredibly proud to announce that, thanks to the generosity of our attendees, cooking teams, and vendors, we surpassed our objective, raising a remarkable $7,000 for the Broussard and Youngsville Police Departments. These funds will undoubtedly help them continue their vital work in our community.
The festival buzzed with energy, thanks to the participation of over 25 talented cooking teams and 35 diverse vendors. The competitive spirit was high as teams vied for top honors in the hamburger and hotdog categories.
The winners were:
Traditional Hamburger Category
* 1st Place: Pepper’s Unlimited
* 2nd Place: Burgersmith Broussard
* 3rd Place: Born in The Bayou Food Company
Nontraditional Hamburger Category
* 1st Place: Best Stop Broussard
* 2nd Place: Feeling Lucky
* 3rd Place: LeJeune’s Best Cajun Seasoning teamed with Mona’s Southern Soul Food & Snack Shop

Looking ahead, we are excited to announce that the 2026 BYOB Hamburger and Hotdog Festival is already booked for Sunday, April 12th. While the location is yet to be finalized, we are committed to making next year’s event even bigger and better. Attendees can look forward to an expanded and more interactive kids’ corner, the addition of a kids’ cooking competition, and even larger entertainment options for the whole family.
We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who attended, the incredible cooking teams, our fantastic vendors, our generous sponsors and the Youngsville Sports Complex for hosting us. Your support made this year’s festival a tremendous success and allowed us to make a meaningful contribution to our local police departments. A huge thank you to the over 55+ volunteers from Krewe De Acadian who showed up to help run this event. We eagerly anticipate seeing you all again next year!
