Charles Sharma announced his candidacy for Broussard’s District 2 City Council District.

Charles Sharma has been in Broussard over four decades. He attended school at Katherine Drexel Elementary, Broussard Middle School, Ovey Comeaux High School and graduated from St. Thomas More Catholic High. He has a BA from UL Lafayette.
Since 2019, Charles has served on the Broussard Planning and Zoning Commission. In addition to his service on the Planning and Zoning Commission, he did serve as the President for the Southfield Homeowners Association for 7 years. Charles is also a current member of the Broussard Chamber of Commerce.
Charles is the eldest of two siblings and for the past 20 years he has worked in the oilfield. He has held multiple roles from field services to management.
Charles is engaged to Ms. Ana Wilkinson and has 3 beautiful children; Kinsley, Kyndall and Kallie.
