Jo-Del’s Monogramming & Gifts first opened in 1996 on South Lee Avenue in Broussard. About three weeks ago it moved around the corner to the current location of 106 East Main Street.

Owner’s Della Saltzman and Marion Gaspard purchased the building on January 5, 2022. During the time since then they have worked to make the building what it is today.

Having more space in the new location they are able to better display their products such as hats, jewelry, aprons, stuffed animals, children’s clothing, ponchos and Louisiana items.

They monogram company and school logos. Personalized monogramming can be done on most anything soft such as purses, towels, aprons, Christmas stockings, clothing, hats, school uniforms and work uniforms.

Saltzman said the building was first on Morgan Street behind where the gas station is at the corner of Main and Morgan Streets where it housed a general store. Norbert’s Restaurant was housed there. The building was moved to the present location around in the early 1980s. Once the building was moved another restaurant occupied the space; later a model railroad shop occupied the building.
