STATEMENT FROM MAYOR KEN RITTER
The Office of the Louisiana Secretary of State has notified Youngsville City Hall that Kayla Menard Reaux’s resignation has been received.
Pursuant to LA R.S. 18:402 E and LA R.S. 18:602, the governing authority shall, within twenty (20) days from the date of the vacancy make an appointment to fill the office and call a special election. The next available election is scheduled for October 14, 2023 (primary) and November 18, 2023 (general), with qualifying dates of August 8, 9, &
10, 2023.
Persons interested in filling the appointed position until the election may submit a resume and cover letter for consideration to council@youngsvillela.gov. The deadline for submission is Wednesday April 12, 2023 at 5pm.
The submission of your resume will be considered a public record and subject to production pursuant to Louisiana Public Records Law.
