Last evening on June 22, 2023, the Rotary Club of Youngsville held its 2023-2024 Office Installation Banquet. The banquet was held at the Creme de la Creme Event Venue in Youngsville, Louisiana.
Past Rotary District Governor Harold Domingue Jr. installed the new officers. Ken Stansbury was installed as president, Jamie Creed as President-Elect, Pam Arceneaux as Treasurer, Logan Lannoo as Secretary, and Matt Romero as Sergeant-at-Arms.
Jamie Creed was honored as Rotarian of the Year.
Outgoing officers are Michele Naquin as President, Ken Stansbury as President-Elect, Pam Arceneaux as Treasurer, Jamie Creed as Secretary, and Matt Romero as Sergeant-at-Arms.
Naquin acknowledged and thanked Rhonda Vallot-Braneff, who had been president-elect but could not fulfill the role due to work responsibilities.
The Rotary Club presented grant awards to seven non-profit organizations during the banquet. The recipients are Acadiana Veteran Alliance, Aylee’s Angels, Barber Society, Escape from Poverty, LARC, Love INC, and The Youngsville Pantry.
The motto of Rotary International is “Service Above Self”. Going by this motto, the Rotary Club of Youngsville does these community service projects: Christmas Adopt-a-Child, Santa’s Big Red Ride, Volunteer at Acadian Village, and Volunteer at City of Youngsville Litter Pickup Day.
Monies raised through fundraisers by the Rotary Club of Youngsville are used for its scholarship program, grant program, and community projects.
