You are in the right spot when people start talking about you. When you hear that you are weird; when people say you are doing too much or that you are anti-social; when they assume that you think you’re better than others, etc.

The climb is hard enough. So don’t compete with what others say. Don’t shift your grind because of what others say. Listen to what you’re saying you want for yourself.

I didn’t want to post this morning’s run because my time was slower than normal according to the distance that I ran. I thought about what will others think or say. Then I reminded myself of why I run in the first place. I reminded myself that over ninety-five percent of my competitors didn’t get out of bed to exercise. It’s the discipline and consistency to do something when I don’t feel like doing it. I exercise because of what I want. I’m chasing who I’m supposed to be. The process to be the best isn’t easy but it’s necessary for who I’m supposed to be. Nothing good comes easy and what others say is not our business.
