Krewe de Acadian is a local non-profit social club in Broussard, Louisiana, which started in 2023. Its goal is to build community events in a fun and inclusive social atmosphere. The club is dedicated to enhancing its community, steadfastly focusing on fostering a prosperous Broussard for future generations.
The Krewe de Acadian presents its first event, the Broussard Health Fair. The fair will occur on Saturday, November 11, 2023, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and is free to attend.
Charles Sharma, Director of Krewe de Acadian, expressed the club’s gratitude to the Broussard Fire Department for actively participating in the health fair. Sharma continued by “expressing gratitude to the numerous local vendors participating in the event, providing invaluable services to our community.”
The Health Fair will include:
- Glucose and blood pressure testing by the LA Dept of Health.
- Flu Shots from Albertsons Pharmacy
- Membership opportunities from MinuteMed Walk-in Clinic
- Health and Life Insurance Agents offering Medicare Seminars
- Availability to donate blood, compliments of Vitalant Blood Donation
- Car seat safety checks provided by the Broussard Police Department

- Fitness and Beyond
- Acadian Ambulance
On behalf of the club, Sharma extends their deep appreciation to PSC Supply and Hardware on Albertsons Parkway in Broussard for generously providing their venue for the health fair and to the numerous companies that have generously offered their services.
