Councilman Ken Stansbury has announced his intention to resign from the Youngsville
City Council following his win in Saturday’s (October 14, 2023) election to serve as the next Lafayette Parish Councilman for District 3.

Resumes are being accepted to fill the City Council Division D seat as an interim
appointment until a special election can be called in 2024. Interested persons must be a
City of Youngsville resident for a minimum of one year. Resumes should be sent to council@youngsvillela.gov. The deadline for submission is 4 p.m. Tuesday, October 24, 2023. The City Council will make the appointment at an upcoming City Council meeting.

The submission of your resume will be considered a public record and subject to
production pursuant to Louisiana Public Records Law.
