Cassidy Announces $2.4 Million for Terrebonne, Jefferson Parish in Hurricane Ida Relief

WASHINGTON – United States Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced Louisiana will receive $2,394,009.51 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in Hurricane Ida relief. Terrebonne Parish will receive $1,075,803.19 in federal funding for building repairs to the main branch library in Houma as a direct result of the hurricane. Jefferson Parish will receive $1,318,206.32 in federal funding to Jefferson Parish for emergency protective measures.  

“The destruction brought on by Hurricane Ida was no match for the strength and resilience of Louisianans,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding will aid in the continued recovery of our communities and better prepare us for future storms.”
