YOUNGSVILLE, LA – Local restaurant KK’s Cafe will be hosting a visit from America’s Best Restaurants (ABR) in late November 2023.
America’s Best Restaurants, a national media and marketing company focusing on bringing attention to local, independently-owned restaurants, will bring its ABR Roadshow to the restaurant on November 28, 2023. Popular dishes will be highlighted, along with an extensive on-camera interview with owners Lee and Wendy Oubre about the restaurant’s special place in the community. The episode will be aired extensively on social media channels at a later date.
Oubre took a break from the restaurant business to work for Ecolab, but got back into it after finding KK’s and buying it from the previous owner. They opened in 2019, keeping the name and menu and “moving forward ever since,” he says.
Their drive-through window kept them open during the pandemic. Oubre notes they have grown in sales over the last three years. They offer a large menu of American and Cajun specialties, breakfast all day, and a family-friendly atmosphere.
“We have good food,” Oubre says, “You will not be disappointed if you come and eat with us. We like making people happy – we’re Cajun. We like making people happy with food.”
