LAFAYETTE, La. (Feb. 1, 2024) – Long-time Lafayette Parish businessman Walter Campbell announces his candidacy for Lafayette’s Republican Parish Executive Committee (RPEC) and Louisiana’s Republican State Central Committee (RSCC) for District 23D. Campbell, a resident of Lafayette, is a husband of over thirty years, father of two, grandfather, business owner, and community leader. As a REALTOR for nearly twenty-five years, he has developed extraordinary skills in leadership, sales, marketing, technology, communication, and a desire to help others achieve their aspirations.
Campbell has been active in leadership on the local and State REALTOR Boards and participates regularly in various non-profit organizations, including Lafayette Habitat for Humanity, Kiwanis of Acadiana, Boy Scouts of America, and the Salvation Army Board of Directors. Walter is a graduate of USL (1992) and is also a military veteran (1986- 1992), a graduate of Leadership Lafayette, a lifelong Republican, and prides himself as a supporter of UL Lafayette, LSU, and the New Orleans Saints.
In his spare time, Walter enjoys family time with his two grandchildren, fishing, and staying healthy. Walter is a proud, pro-life, catholic, and as a member of the NRA, supports our 2nd Amendment rights.
Campbell is running for these positions to preserve the conservative values of the Republican Party in Lafayette and our State. This will be accomplished by fostering fiscally responsible legislation, supporting and endorsing the most conservative candidates for State and local offices, and by working to increase Republican voter participation.
