A crosswalk will be added across South Bernard Road at the intersection of Albertson Parkway in Broussard, Louisiana. The crosswalk will be located from the west side of South Bernard, near Grab-N-Geaux Smokehouse, to the east side of the road where there is a new sidewalk.

The crosswalk will include crosswalk lights with road stripes.

Broussard Mayor Ray Bourque said, “Our contractor is waiting on parts for the crosswalk at the intersection of Albertson Parkway and South Bernard Road. We expect completion within ninety days.”

Bourque added that painted stripes will be added when the road painting crew arrives in Broussard.

The new sidewalk added on the east side of South Bernard Road is part of the City’s plan to have a sidewalk from Main Street to Fairfield Road. Bourque advised the city will look to have additional crosswalks as the sections of the sidewalk are added.
