WASHINGTON (Apr. 19, 2024) – United States Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) today released a statement after voting to reauthorize the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA).

“We cannot gamble with our national security. We must protect Americans from those that wish to do us harm. FISA is far from perfect, but failing to reauthorize it would be a gift to China, Iran, and Russia,” said Dr. Cassidy. “We must improve oversight and accountability, and this bill includes measures to do so.”
