LPSO Seized $1 Million Plus in Illegal Narcotics

LAFAYETTE, LA (May 23, 2024) – The Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office (LPSO) Narcotics Unit seized more than $1 million in illegal narcotics on Wednesday as part of an ongoing investigation.

LPSO Narcotics Agents, with the assistance of the LPSO SWAT Team, located the 14 pounds of Methamphetamine while executing a search warrant in the 200 block of Verot School Road. A handgun was also found and seized.

Two suspects were arrested as a result of the investigation. Jada Bentivolio, 23, and Christian Archangel, 23, were arrested and booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center for Possession with the Intent to Distribute Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substances (Methamphetamine). Archangel was also booked on Transactions Involving Proceeds from Controlled Dangerous Substances Activity.

This case remains under investigation, no further information is available now.
