The Rotary Club of Youngsville is partnering with Catholic Charities of Acadiana and FoodNet to host a Peanut Butter and Jelly Drive for the Catholic Charities 1-1-1 Campaign to Team Up Against Hunger.

Donations of peanut butter and jelly can be dropped off at the following locations by June 28, 2024:

  • Huya Craft Coffee, 1901 Chemin Metairie Pkwy Suite 1, Youngsville, Louisiana
  • Swamp Dog Cafe, 3366 Verot School Rd Unit 100, Lafayette, Louisiana
  • The Refined Pantry, 3366 Verot School Rd Unit 101, Lafayette, Louisiana
  • Nunu’s Fresh Market, 509 Lafayette Street, Youngsville, Louisiana

The goal of the 1/1/1 Campaign is for at least one church, one business, and one school to host an item-specific drive for FoodNet each month of the year.

According to the Catholic Charities 1/1/1 Campaign website, “This effort is critical to ensure that more families are cared for in our community. Without adequate and appropriate canned good donations, Catholic Charities of Acadiana spends $7,000-$8,000 each week filling the supplemental food bags we distribute. The 1/1/1 Campaign answers the desire of our giving community to help meet the real need of their hungry neighbor while also decreasing what our organization needs to purchase. By relying on the community to help host item-specific donation drives, we can use our limited monetary resources to serve the areas of need in which the community cannot participate as easily.”
