LAFAYETTE, LA (June 27, 2024) – Lafayette Consolidated Government (LCG)’s Public Works Department announces the closure of the 100 block of Mount Vernon Drive beginning July 1 through July 3, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This temporary closure is necessary for crews to replace a subsurface cross drain under the roadway.
Detour routes will be available to ensure a smooth traffic flow, and local access will be maintained throughout the closure period. LCG asks for the public’s patience and cooperation as crews work to improve Lafayette’s infrastructure.
