Submitted by United States Representative Clay Higgins of the 3rd District in Louisiana.

WASHINGTON (July 11, 2024) – Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) voted to pass H.J. Res. 165, which would overturn the Biden administration’s Title IX re-write that imposes radical gender ideology on K-12 schools and universities receiving public funding. Congressman Higgins is an original co-sponsor of the resolution.

In April, Congressman Higgins released a statement in support of Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry and Attorney General Liz Murrill after they announced a lawsuit against the Title IX revisions. Read more on his statement here.

“The revised rule by the Biden administration is a radical move that puts the integrity of female sports across the country in jeopardy,” said Congressman Higgins. “The Biden Title IX rule undermines more than 50 years of fair protections for biological females. We must preserve the core principles that made our country great.”
