Submitted by United States Senator Bill Cassidy of Louisiana

WASHINGTON (August 15, 2024) – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced the City of Kenner will receive $133,000.00 from the Delta Regional Authority (DRA) through his Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) for wastewater infrastructure improvements following Hurricane Ida.

“Louisiana has felt the impacts of Hurricane Ida over the past three years, but infrastructure improvements like these make us more resilient,” said Dr. Cassidy. “Because I had a seat at the table while drafting the Infrastructure Law, our communities are receiving more than their fair share of this funding—creating jobs and building an economy for 2025.”
