(August 22, 2024) – Youngsville Police Chief Cody Louvieve has advised Hannah Gentry’s employment with the Youngsville Police Department was terminated on August 21, 2024.

(July 1, 2024) – Youngsville Police Chief Cody Louvieve has advised that he cannot provide any information on the arrest of Youngsville Officer Hannah Gentry because the Lafayette City Police is the handling agency and is conducting the criminal investigation.

According to Louviere, Officer Gentry is on Administrative Leave Without Pay pending YPD’s investigation regarding any possible disciplinary actions.

ORIGINAL

(June 30, 2024) – According to the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office (LPSO) arrest report dated Friday, June 28, 2024, Hannah Gentry, 31, was arrested on June 27, 2024, for unauthorized entry into an inhabitant’s dwelling.

The LPSO’s arrest report shows the arresting agency as LPSO, while a report from KLFY TV10 shows that Gentry was arrested by the Lafayette Police Department and that Gentry is a Youngsville Police Officer.
