LAFAYETTE, LA (September 1, 2024) – At around 2:08 a.m., the Lafayette Police Department (LPD) responded to the 100 block of Griggs Avenue about a shooting incident. Upon the arrival of officers, they located one female victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Officers rendered first aid until paramedics arrived and transported the victim to a local hospital. The victim is currently listed in stable condition. The victim was shot while sitting in a parked vehicle outside of a residence located in the 100 block of Griggs Avenue. LPD Investigators were called out, and this shooting is currently under investigation.
