LAFAYETTE, L (September 8, 2024) – On September 8, 2024, at 3:13 a.m., Officers with the Lafayette Police Department (LPD) were dispatched to a major vehicle accident in the 2300 block of Ambassador Caffery Parkway. Upon the officers’ arrival on the scene, it was determined that two vehicles collided at the Ambassador Caffery Pkwy and Dulles Drive intersection. One of the involved motorists was ejected from their vehicle during the vehicle crash and sustained major injuries. The other motorist involved in the accident sustained moderate injuries. Both motorists were transported to a local hospital, where they are both listed as stable.
LPD Traffic Investigators were called out to the scene, and a crime scene was established. LPD Traffic Investigators are currently investigating the incident to determine the elements that led up to the traffic accident. Any findings shall be provided as they are determined.
