Lafayette, LA (November 8, 2024) – Lafayette Consolidated Government’s Traffic, Roads, and Bridges Department announces a temporary lane closure on Johnston Street as part of the Downtown Drainage Inlet Replacement Project. Starting Monday, November 11, the northbound exterior lane in the 900 block of Johnston Street, just north of Jefferson Street, will be closed to traffic. This lane closure is expected to remain in effect through Friday, November 29, 2024.
Southern Constructors will perform the necessary work to upgrade and replace this area’s existing drainage catch basin.
Motorists are encouraged to use caution when traveling through the work zone.
