LAFAYETTE, LA (November 25, 2024) – The Lafayette Police Department (LPD) is informing the public about an upcoming event that may impact traffic for the annual Gleaux Run 5k. The event will occur at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 27, 2024. During this time, the Lafayette Police Department will close Camellia Boulevard from Johnston Street to Settlers Trace Boulevard to accommodate the race. The road will remain closed for approximately 2.5 hours until the event is completed.
Motorists traveling between 5:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. in this area should expect delays and be advised to seek alternative routes such as Pinhook, Ambassador Caffery, or East Broussard Road to cross the Vermilion River. Please drive safely and plan your travel accordingly.
