YOUNGSVILLE, LA (December 19, 2024) – Jean Paul “JP” Broussard was sworn in this morning as Youngsville’s new police chief. As he was sworn in, his wife Melissa and daughter Addisyn were by his side.

Judge Roger P Hamilton Jr. of the 16th Judicial District Court administered the oath of office.

Broussard will fill in the unexpired term of Rick Boudreaux as chief. Due to medical reasons, Boudreaux retired in August 2023. Cody Louviere was interim chief until the special election was held to fill the position.
