LAFAYETTE PARISH, LA (January 18, 2025) – Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Detectives are conducting a death investigation after a body was discovered in a Lafayette Parish waterway.
Deputies responded to the 400 block of West Milton Avenue around 4 p.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2025, about the deceased individual located in the Vermilion River.
The investigation remains ongoing as the coroner’s office works to identify the victim, as well as determine a cause and manner of death.
