BROUSSARD, LA (February 11, 2025) – The City of Broussard was recently awarded a $7,500 grant that will be used to rehabilitate the Valsin Broussard House in Broussard. The City of Broussard is named after Valsin Broussard, the city’s founder.

The Valsin Broussard House, located at 310 East Main Street, was purchased several years ago by the City and will be used as the City’s Tourism Center.

The grant is from the LCVC Enterprise Fund, a program from the Lafayette Convention & Visitors Commission. It’s a funding source for projects that benefit the community, such as historic preservation and rebuilding.
